Senior military leaders from the the East Africa region and the U.S. come together to discuss Ethiopia's peacekeeping observations, current emerging security threats, key concerns, educations, protection of civilians, refugees, role of African Union, strategic communications, solutions, and the way forward during a Regional Leaders Seminar held at the East Africa Standby Force headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, March 24, 2017. The seminar directly followed the U.S. Army Africa-led exercise, Justified Accord 17, held Mar. 20-24. JA17 is an annual week-long joint exercise that brings together U.S. Army personnel, African partners, allies and international organizations to promote interoperability between participating nations for peacekeeping operations in the East Africa region.
