U.S. Air Force Airmen, 116th Medical Group, Detachment 1 Squadron, 116th Air Control Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, set-up an immediate-patient care tent with Soldiers at the Guardian Center in Perry, Ga., March 29, 2017 during the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package portion of the exercise. Vigilant Guard 2017 Georgia is a Joint Regional Training exercise sponsored by U.S. Northern Command Bureau. The scenario for the exercise is a simulated category-3 hurricane that makes landfall and moves through Georgia and Tennessee causing catastrophic damage. The exercise provides National Guard units from Georgia and six other states an opportunity to improve cooperation and relationships with local, state, regional civilian, military and federal partners in preparation for emergencies and natural disasters.
