170329-N-WA993-037 YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 29, 2017) Electronics Technician 3rd Class Jennifer Ralston, from Chesapeake, Virginia, adjusts the directional heading of a radar antenna of a SPN-46 Precision Approach Landing System as she performs maintenance aboard the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The SPN-46 radar provides electronic guidance to aircraft and assists them to land in low-visibility and adverse weather conditions. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
