170309-N-BL637-004 EAST CHINA SEA (March 9, 2017) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Brendan Hutchins, of Seattle, makes preparations to take off in an MH-60S Sea Hawk from the “Black Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4 on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) flight deck. The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of U.S. 3rd Fleet.
