Maj. Ayid AL-Qathami (left), a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia air defense officer, and Capt. Bader Alruqaie (center), a Kuwait Army air defense officer, track simulated incoming ballistic missile threats March 27, 2017, during exercise Eagle Resolve. AL-Qathami and Alruqaie are serving as air battle command staff during the command post exercise phase of Eagle Resolve. The training exercises participant’s ability to respond as a combined joint task force headquarters staff. Exercise Eagle Resolve is the premier U.S. multilateral exercise within the Arabian Peninsula. Since 1999, Eagle Resolve has become the leading engagement between the U.S. and Gulf Cooperation Council nations to collectively address the regional challenges associated with asymmetric warfare in a low-risk setting.
