    Force Reconnaissance Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, establish long-range radio communications during a vessel Visit, Board, Search and Seizure exercise aboard the USNS Richard E. MRF specializes in amphibious reconnaissance operations and limited combat operations as the reconnaissance element of the 31st MEU. 31st MEU conducts VBSS training as a part of the 31st MEU’s 17.1 Spring Patrol of the Asia-Pacific region.
