U.S. 7TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 24, 2017) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Ronaldjay Juego (front), from San Diego, counts the chocks and chains to show the pilots they have all been removed during flight quarters on the flight deck of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108). Wayne E. Meyer is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend U.S. 3rd Fleet command and control functions into the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
