PACIFIC OCEAN (March 21, 2017) Fireman Taylor A. Dietz, from Rocky Mount, N. C., and Hull Maintenance Technician 3rd class Mitchell Teachout, from Jackson, Mich., simulate extinguishing a fire during a damage control training evolution aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) while underway for composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
