Photo illustration of a Marine created in Adobe Photoshop to depict the operating environment of modern-day, desert combat Marines. The Marine model was photographed in a studio equipped with a weapon and wearing full desert combat uniform and gear; then, in Photoshop, the model was digitally placed in a desert scene. A desert backdrop image was used to create the full effect of the scene. Lighting and color adjustments as well as shadow application were used for finishing touches.
