170322-N-ND850-350: AUSTIN – (March. 22, 2017) Dallas native, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician 1st Class Connor Antkowski of EOD Mobile Unit 11, EOD Group One based in San Diego and (rt) Senior Chief EOD Technician Dominic Juarez of EOD Group 1 assist a student with donning a bomb suit at William B. Travis Early College High School during Austin Navy Week. The students were able to speak with the Sailors, don some EOD equipment, and operate the Talon Robot. Antkowski is a 2008 graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas and joined the U.S. Navy in 2011. During Navy Week Austin, March 18-24, the Sailors will be visible throughout the community to include delivering presentations at the Austin Aquarium, local high schools and Boys and Girls Clubs.
