MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – A Marine with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducts inverted modular amphibious egress training, March 22, 2017. This training simulation is designed to teach Marines how to escape a helicopter submerged underwater to increase survivability. The ‘Helo Dunker’ is a small piece of the arduous preparation the Marines and Sailors with the MEU will conduct in order to get ready to deploy later this year. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
