Among his peers, Lance Cpl. Kevin Ivie, 24, from Paris, Ky., was promoted to the rank of corporal aboard Forward Operating Base Zeebrugge, Oct. 1. Ivie is a field artillery cannoneer crewman with India Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2, and has excelled in many fields throughout this deployment. Operating in Kajaki for several months, Ivie will soon be returning to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center 29 Palms, Calif., with the rest of his brothers-in-arms.
