On Oct. 1, in the rotunda of the Al Faw Palace, Camp Victory Iraq, Lt. Gen. Bob Cone United States Forces-Iraq deputy commanding general of operations and III Corps commander, presents a Defense Meritorious Service Medal to Chief Warrant Officer Richard Lawrence, during an end of tour award ceremony for the Soldiers of USF-I J2. The awarded Soldiers are members of III Corps Analysis and Control Element. They were the first group of III Corps soldiers to arrive in Iraq for the 2010 deployment, and are now going to be the first group III Corps soldiers to return to Fort Hood, Texas.
