Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Keenan receives the 2016 Lucas Plaque - Afloat award on behalf of the Engineering Department of the Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf during a ceremony at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, Md., March 21, 2017. The award states, in part, that when strategically positioned to interdict two self-propelled semi-submersible vessels, Bertholf's engineers worked around the clock to correct exceedingly difficult casualties to the ship service diesel generator and main gas turbine fuel oil systems, directly enabling high-speed and high-endurance chases ending in the skillful takedown of both vessels.
