Nicholas Powell, port engineer for Surface Forces Logistics Center Patrol Boat Product Line, is award as the 2016 Outstanding Port Engineer during a ceremony at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, Md., March 21, 2017. The award states, in part, that while temporarily assigned to Patrol Forces Southwest Asia as Patrol Boat Product Line's sole representative for maintenance and repair, Powell displayed exemplary leadership, superb project management skills, and commendable technical acumen.
