CAPU MIDIA, Romania (March 19, 2017)— Romanian Marines clear their weapons after an amphibious assault drill at Capu Midia, Romania March 19, during exercise Spring Storm 2017. The purpose of Spring Storm is to work alongside Romanian maritime forces to improve interoperability and enhance our enduring relationship. The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit is currently deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group in support of maritime security operations and theater security Cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
