Families of Sailors assigned to Littoral Combat Ship Crew 103 welcome their returning Sailors during a homecoming celebration at Naval Air Station North Island. Crew 103 was relieved by Crew 111 aboard USS Detroit (LCS 7), stationed in Mayport, Florida. Detroit is a fast and agile Freedom-class littoral combat ship variant tailor-made to patrol the region's littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing the fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future.
