(Mar. 18, 2017) More than 500 students from over 30 Midwest schools participated in the Midwest Regional SeaPerch Competition held at the USS Indianapolis Combat Training Pool at Recruit Training Command March 18. SeaPerch is part of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs sponsored by the Office of Naval Research which allows students in grades 6 through 12 to build and operate underwater remotely operated vehicles.
