Yokosuka, Japan (March 15, 2017) Paul Skogerboe, U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center’s carrier program manager shows Vice Adm. Thomas J. Moore, Commander, Naval Sea System Command the catapult trough on the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan’s (CVN 76). Moore was aboard Reagan for a brief of the ship’s 2017 Selected Restricted Availability period. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
