McCormick, a veterinarian from Sacramento, Calif., embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, prepares to inject a vaccination for a cow on a Nicaraguan farm, while conducting animal vaccinations, outside Bluefields, Nicaragua, Sept. 21. Service members and civilians are deployed in support of Operation Continuing Promise 2010 providing medical, dental, veterinary, engineering assistance and subject-matter exchanges to the Caribbean, Central and South America.
