McCormick, a veterinarian from Sacramento, Calif., embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, while she gives cows vaccines on his farm outside Bluefields, Nicaragua, Sept. 21. Service members and civilians are deployed in support of Operation Continuing Promise 2010 providing medical, dental, veterinary, engineering assistance and subject-matter exchanges to the Caribbean, Central and South America.
