Jonathan Bacon, a heavy equipment and constructions craftsman with the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Pavements and Equipment Flight, cranks a lever on an A-frame screed at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Feb. 21, 2017. The A-frame screed is a tool used for leveling concrete and settles the aggregate rock and gravel to the bottom of the mix while bringing the “paste” up to the top, allowing for a smooth finish.
