The first graduating company of a unique, multi-tribe Iraqi force, the A’ali Al Furat Brigade, shares a meal with their U.S. and Coalition training partners after graduating from a four-week military training regimen at a training ground in Western Iraq, Jan. 7, 2017. The A’ali Al Furat Brigade, which has nearly 200 fighters from more than 20 tribes – the first multi-tribe unit formed in Iraq, is the first recorded tribal unit to receive Law of Armed Conflict and rules of engagement training specifically from a U.S. military Judge Advocate General through coordination with Coalition partners.
