Petty Officer Third Class Ashton Jaramillo reads to children at Joseph S. Shanklin Elementary School, Mar. 1.
Jaramillo is one of 24 volunteers from the Tri-command who came to Shanklin Elementary School to read to the
students as part of Read Across America week. Along with a guest reader day, the school also had crazy hat day,
door decoration day, crazy sock day, and book character parade day. Jaramillo is a hospital corpsman with Naval
Hospital Beaufort.
