MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Battalion Landing Team exit a CH-53 Super Stallion during a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel training mission aboard Camp Pendleton, March 1, 2017. TRAP training teaches the BLT to successfully conduct a rescue mission for downed pilots and the crew. The training is a small part of the evolutions the BLT will conduct in order to get ready to deploy with the 15th MEU later this year. Our rapid ability to mobilize people and equipment makes the amphibious force uniquely postured to respond to natural disasters. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Frank Cordoba)
