Arta Beach, DJIBOUTI (Feb. 6, 2017) A U.S. Marine with the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, detonates a linear charge on a mock-up of a wooden door during a demolition range conducted at Arta Beach, Djibouti, Feb. 6. Whether conducting a visit, board, search, and seizure mission on an opposed vessel, or a land-based limited scale raid on a specified target site, the MRF is rehearsed and certified to conduct explosive, ballistic, and mechanical breaching on entry sites located at the point of attack.
