Alan Schrader, commanding officer, Naval Base Kitsap signs the Teen Dating Violence Proclamation at the Admiral Boorda Teen Center on Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM). The purpose of TDVAM is to raise awareness about abuse in teen and 20-something relationships and promote programs that prevent it. Domestic abuse victim advocates will be promoting the campaign “Love is Respect” and will be talking about what respect means and why it is so important in a healthy relationship.
