Joshua Owens, Conway, Ark., a member of the Arkansas National Guard and commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-114th Security and Support Aviation Battalion, passes out candles during a memorial service in downtown Ferizaj, Kosovo, Sept. 11. Owens, who is deployed with Multinational Battle Group East as a part of the NATO peacekeeping in Kosovo, heads a group of soldiers that teach English to local teenagers at the youth center in Ferizaj. The teenagers held a memorial service to remember the lives lost on 9/11.
