MANAMA, Bahrain (Jan. 11, 2017) U.S. Marines and Sailors with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th Marine Expeditionary Unit examine a model of a ship traditionally used for pearl diving and fishing, displayed within the Bahrain National Museum during a city tour Jan. 11. The museum houses nine main halls that categorize the heritage of Bahrain into six different sections dating back 4,000 years ago. The Makin Island ARG/11th MEU is currently operating in support of regional security and stability in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations as part of their Western Pacific 16-2 deployment.
