MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Maritime Raid Force gather around the 1st Lt Frank Halstead, platoon commander, for a brief during the Marine Expeditionary Unity Exercise on Camp Pendleton, Feb. 8, 2017. MEU-EX is the first large exercise conducted by the 15th MEU after composing early this year. The 15th MEU’s forces undergo demanding unit-level training in order to be proficient in every critical mission area needed to respond to any mission in while deployed.
