Master Sgt. Chris Coarse, drop zone control instructor, 166th Airlift Wing, Delaware Air National Guard, teaches drop zone safety officer training to tactical air control party Airmen with the 227th Air Support Operations Squadron, New Jersey Air National Guard, and aerial traffic controllers with the 621st Contingency Response Group at Warren Grove Range, N.J., Feb. 10, 2017. Drop zone safety officers are responsible for establishing and operating day and night drop zones for personnel/resupply missions flown by Air Force and Army aircraft. 25 Airmen attended the course.
