U.S. Army jumpmasters with the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat team, 82nd Airborne Division (1-505 PIR, 3 BCT 82 Abn. Div.) tour a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft here, Feb. 3, 2017. During the visit Airmen from the 437th Airlift Wing discussed air drops, Army and Air Force capabilities, equipment characteristics and combat power with the 1-505 PIR, 3 BCT 82 Abn. Div. Soldiers. The tour provided the opportunity to develop more effective joint force airborne operations in the future. While in Charleston, the Soldiers also visited the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point to pay tribute to a Medal of Honor recipient, U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Felix Conde-Falcon, a paratrooper from the 1-505 PIR, 3 BCT 82 Abn.
