Cpl. Austin Richards grapples with Sgt. Abel Hernandez and Cpl. Austin Hardin during the culminating event of the Martial Arts Instructor course aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 3, 2017. The course included various mentally and physically demanding events such as; hikes, ground fighting and weapons training. The three-week course teaches the Marines the skills necessary to properly instruct the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program to fellow Marines. Richards is a flight equipment technician assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, Marine Aircraft Group 26, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
