South Carolina Army National Guard Spc. Jackson Pride, an automatic rifleman with the 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, runs through the "Battle Challenge" during the 2017 Best Warrior Competition at McCrady Training Center in Eastover, S.C., Jan 30, 2017. The Battle Challenge is a mobile obstacle course requiring participants to perform nine tasks under pressure of time, including a cargo net climb, a knotted rope descent, wall surmount, ammunition resupply, low crawl, gas can carry, marksmanship tasks, and a service member-down rescue.
