USS MAKIN ISLAND, Gulf of Aden (December 28, 2016) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Kile Broadway, an infantry automatic rifleman with Company C, Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 4th Marine, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, wait to board an MV-22 Osprey on the ramp of the USS Makin Island Dec. 28. The 11th MEU/Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group provides a versatile sea-based, expeditionary force that can be tailored to a variety of missions.
