170202-N-XT039-104 PHILIPPINE SEA (Feb. 2, 2017) Gas Turbine System Technician (Mechanical) 2nd Class Andrew Erickson (left), a deck engineer, from Tucson, Ariz., and Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Leslie Hudson, a load master, from Columbus, Ohio, both assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, clean the engine of Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 21 during a 25-hour maintenance package in the well deck of amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). The 25-hour maintenance package is maintenance conducted every 25 hours to maintain the operability of the LCAC. Bonhomme Richard is conducting unit-level training to ensure warfighting readiness in preparation for a routine patrol in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
