Logistical Support Area ANACONDA, Iraq --1 hour, 8 minutes, and 28 seconds. Official time is kept as runners cross the finish line during the LSA Anaconda 10-Miler race held on Oct. 8. More than 550 runners participated in the fourth annual event held at LSA Anaconda, located near Balad, Iraq. The race was coined a "shadow run" because it mirrors the annual event held in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 8. Currently LSA Anaconda, is controlled by Fort-Hood's 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) which deployed to Iraq a month, providing logistical support throughout Iraq.
