U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division (2d MARDIV), await simulated contact while utilizing an M1A1 Abrams Tank during a 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2d MARDIV field training exercise on Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 26, 2017. The purpose of the exercise was to develop skills learned from previous field training while integrating mechanized vehicle assets in order to maintain combat proficiency.
