170125-N-FT178-039 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 25, 2017) Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Ernest Hamlin, from Nacogdoches, Texas, right, and Gunner’s Mate Seaman Dylan Weisert, from Blackduck, Minnesota, replace the barrel of a .25mm machine gun on the aft missile deck of Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) during routine maintenance. Lake Champlain is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of the U.S. 3rd Fleet in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
