170125-N-FT178-021 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 25, 2017) Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Ernest Hamlin, from Nacogdoches, Texas, left, and Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Miguel Francoduran, from San Jose, California, remove the receiver of a .25mm machine gun on the aft missile deck of Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) during routine maintenance. Lake Champlain is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of the U.S. 3rd Fleet in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
