Also attending the ceremony on behalf of the battalion was Command Sgt. Maj. Jose Gomez, command sergeant major, Phoenix Rec. Bn., Capt. Adam McGinnis, commander, Phoenix Central Company and Mario Diaz, Arizona Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army.
The event provided an opportunity for the leadership to expand their relationships with members of the local community, which also included Congressman Tom O' Halleran, 1st Congressional District of Arizona, and Senator Catherine Miranda, Arizona State Senate.
