Staff Sgt. Douglas Norman, representing U.S. Army Special Operations Command, helps stabilize a casualty before evacuation of the battlefield during the battle drills test Oct. 5, 2006, while a grader watches. Norman, an indirect fire infantryman with HHC, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Ga., is part of 20 NCOs and Soldiers competing at the fifth annual NCO and Soldier of the Year competition Oct. 2-6, 2006, at Fort Lee, Va. Norman is native to Casper, Wy.
