U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Tim Thompson, an explosive ordinance technician (EOD) observes Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) specialists as they prepare to secure “contaminated” items during a CBRN exercise in January 18, 2017, at a military base near Amman, Jordan. The exercise provided an opportunity for service members from U.S. Army Central, U.S. Marines and the JAF to work together on executing counter-unexploded ordinance and CBRN techniques and enhanced interoperability between nations and services while providing an opportunity to exchange best practices between the participants.
