An explosive ordinance technician from the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army prepares a pull-string during a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) mitigation training exercise January 18, 2017, at a military base near Amman, Jordan. During the training JAF personnel demonstrated their ability to detect an unexploded hazard, preform a security cordon in the area, identify and remove possible chemical hazards and decontaminate exposed personnel. Soldiers from U.S. Army Central and U.S. Marines from around southwest Asia participated with the JAF in the exercise in order to enhance interoperability and share best practices with their counterparts.
