    Sgt. Frank Dunlap, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, shakes the hand of Capt. David Baxley, administrative officer, 4th Battalion, 118th Infantry Regiment, S.C. Army National Guard, after Baxley presented Dunlap with a Bronze Star Medal, Aug. 15, at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10804 in North, Little River, S.C. Dunlap, 87, was presented the Bronze Star Medal for his service during World War II by. After receiving the medal Dunlap said, "This a huge honor, but I want people to understand I'm not accepting this for me. I'm accepting it on behalf of all the men and women who have served and are currently serving. I want it to be bestowed on all military members and veterans from every service, male and female." Dunlap was a Japanese Prisoner of War for three and half years and survived the Bataan Death March, which occurred in the Philippines in 1942.
