Lt. Kevin Keith, assigned to the Checkerboards of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 312, left, assists a mariner in distress with an intravenous fluid bag aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The mariner and seven other survivors was rescued by two SH-60 Sea Hawk helicopters assigned to the Dusty Dogs of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 7 and transported to Harry S. Truman. The eight rescued mariners were evaluated by medical staff and provided clothes and food. Harry S. Truman is part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike group and is deployed supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
