Alaska Guardsmen tasked with supporting the 58th Presidential Inauguration receive a briefing from their officer and noncommissioned officer in charge of the joint task force at the National Guard armory on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Jan. 17, 2017. The 47 Guardsmen are from the Alaska Army National Guard’s 297th Regional Support Group and the Alaska Air National Guard’s 168th Wing Security Forces Squadron and 176th Wing SFS. The Guardsmen departed JBER for the National Capital Region, Jan. 18, 2017, where they will be charged with assisting local law enforcement officials in providing a safe and secure environment for civilians attending the inauguration.
