LESZNO, Poland – Staff Sgt. Kristina Bajis chats with Polish citizens Jan. 17, 2017 during a remembrance ceremony honoring the Greater Poland Uprising of 1918-19. Jan. 17 marked the 97th anniversary of the day when German occupation of the newly-independent country of Poland ended following World War I. Bajis is part of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. Her unit is currently stationed in Zagan, Poland as part of a nine-month rotation to the region in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
