Sgt. Major Phillip Fascetti, the sergeant major of 1st Marine Division (Forward), talks to the Marines of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2, at Patrol Base Dragon in Sangin, Aug. 7. Fascetti and Brig. Gen. Joseph Osterman, commanding general of 1st Marine Division (FWD), toured the battle space of Company K and shared words of encouragement with the Marines. During their visit, Fascetti and Osterman visited four Afghan compounds Marines have fortified and turned into patrol bases. Fascetti expressed his pride in the work the Marines have done and emphasized the importance of small unit leadership.
