Difficulties of starting the engines on the snow removal equipment posed problems in the early mornings, due to gelling of the diesel fuel. Airmen with the 124th Civil Engineer Squadron used heaters to warm the fuel to alleviate the gelling caused by the subzero temperatures during the record-setting snowstorm that swept through Boise, Idaho, the first two weeks of Jan. 2017.
